Welcome to #TheTop25, again, and this post is my Top 25 guys I remember from over the years. I made a team of it and it includes guys we’ve talked about throughout the posts (access the storystream here).
#TheTop25 #’s 1 overall is the Miami Hurricanes’ mystique and swagger. Why would they be my number one overall? First- I’m from Miami. Second- they were fun, they won, they had the cool smoke, the fatigues, the bad ass mascot and the best players in NCAA and the NFL. Most of all, Miami won my list because it’s part of who I am.
#TheTop25 #’s 2-5 which cover Brian Bosworth, Tommie Frazier, Ohio State vs Michigan, and EA Sports NCAA Football video game series. These are the people, moments, and things that made me love college football.
#TheTop25 #’s 6-10 covers the zone read, Ed Reed’s Miami/FSU 2001 halftime speech, College Game Day feel good stories and Lee Corso’s craziness, Keith Jackson the announcer, and the pageantry of college football.
#TheTop25 keeps on rolling now into #’s 11-15. We’re talking about Mike Leach and his mouth, Wuerffel vs. Manning, Troy and Darren Davis from Iowa State, and the Notre Dame vs Oregon State Fiesta Bowl in 2001. Oh oh oh, and Tim Tebow’s legacy in college football. That too.
#TheTop25 This is my series on the 25 Players, Coaches, Schemes, and Incidents That Made Me Love College Football. I will link the other pages in the Top 25 as they are posted. 21-25: Ray Lewis, Texas-Nebraska, Statue of Liberty, Andy Dalton and Power Read.
#TheTop25 This is sort of a kickoff post or honorable mention to my Top 25… – remember, this is about ME and me alone. I’m sure in different regions, generations, etc different moments and games mattered more. This is what made ME a fan. Take it for what it’s worth. Hopefully I’ll get a podcast guest to discuss this stuff. Now on to the show!
