My staff at Cornerstone goes over our tackling drills we do for all players. These drills can be used every single day. Here we employ heads-up and hawk tackling. Enjoy a couple of our best drills here for FREE, and the entire video on our Patreon for FREE (for all the guys that say we charge for everything).
This is part of a series on head coaching roles. Coaching your assistant coaches is an extremely important role as a head coach. Your assistants need to be an extension of you and cannot if you don’t guide them there.
A major role of a head coach is to plan and implement that plan into a reality. This covers practice planning, off-season workouts, philosophy in all three phases of the game, and scheme.
The first job for a head coach is to make sure your program is safe. If you run an unsafe program by neglect, incompetence, or maliciousness (hope that is rare but after Friday Night Tykes…) you aren’t long for this business.
Listen to and review our latest Coachspeak episode, Episode 5, which is an interview with Tampa Catholic Head Football Coach Mike Gregory. Mike is a fast-riser in the business and has over ten years of coaching experience going into his fourth season as a head coach and having made it to the semi finals twice. Mike has coached numerous college athletes in his time.
Listen to and review our latest Coachspeak episode, Episode 3 which covers Unilateral Workouts.
