Install 6: It’s a Trap!

IMFB’s Install 6 is called “It’s a Trap!” because well, we’re breaking down the trap play from multiple formations, personnel groups, and offensive schemes. The Patreon Exclusive Content section has a PDF playbook featuring screenshots and diagrams of many variations of trap. In addition to that, the usual cut-ups and chalk-talk sessions on trap will be available.

“It’s a Trap” – Preview of install 6

Next week IMFB will come out with our “It’s a Trap!” install #6 focusing on the trap play, how to coach it, different schemes to run it from, and how to defend it. For a sample, look no further than OSU’s dominant win over Oregon in the title game.

We will cover trap from the Wing-T, I, Shotgun, Pistol, using jet motion, and talk influence, wham and more!

Pistol Wing T: Tom, Kick and Down

The goal of the IMFB Pistol Wing T isn’t to make a perfect replica of the wing-t with just slight variation of the backfield alignment. It’s to mold the wing-t to a pistol alignment and make it work as perfect as an offense can. Here, we’re going to create a ‘new’ formation and a new version of the down series plus the original down play.
